Ayurveda and Yoga – a complete approach to healthy living.
Our Ayurvedic Yoga Mats are made from organic cotton and jute, hand woven and dyed with Ayurvedic herbs known for their medicinal properties – to fight diabetes, skin ailments, asthma and arthritis. The concept of using natural dyes made from plants, minerals and herbs as part of a health promoting lifestyle is rooted in Ayurveda. It’s based on the basic Ayurvedic principle that regular contact with fabric made from yarn that is infused with wild crafted herbs can provide relief from certain ailments. In this case healing happens through the skin, the body’s largest organ: the skin comes into contact with the herb-infused cotton, and the benefits are absorbed directly into the body. These mats are not only made to be beautiful but to heal along the way.
A conscious mat for a conscious yoga practice.
“Yoga should be practiced on a mat made with natural materials as they have the ability to hold your energies and vibrations better. All meditative practices insist on natural fabric mats for this reason. Your breath and your intention reside on your mat!” Nidhi. Read the full testimonial here.
Our guiding principle is to live in harmony with our environment and this begins in the manufacturing process. Our production is eco-friendly as we choose to partner with cotton growers that do no use pesticides or toxic chemicals. From using organic cotton and natural Ayurvedic herbs, to hand weaving in small villages. We aim to make each step a conscious step on the path to production. We care about the impact of what we do and endeavor to support local communities, small organic farmers and the environment.
